This quote, the origin of which is disputed, uses the word 'charity', as does the KJV in 1 Corinthians 13, instead of 'love'.
The original Greek word seeks to convey so much more than human love.
Paul uses it to describe God's charitable loving kindness and mercy rather than what we use the word 'charity' for nowadays.
Our relationship with the loving Father is so much more than a few second hand castaways or handout of loose change so that He can be off to more important things.
He seeks to come and make His home with us.
